In 2001 I received my B.F.A in dance from Marymount Manhattan College where I performed in off broadway venues and studied ballet, pointe, jazz and modern and choreography. Since graduating from college I've been an instructor at the Berkshire Dance Theatre in Adams, Ma., where I teach ages eight though eighteen. I also completed studies at Mildred Elley Business School for massage therapy in 2004 and became a certified massage therapist in North Adams.
I have been an active Yoga Instructor since the completion of my Teacher training in December of 2002. Since then, I have taught a diverse population of ages 3 through 75; ranging from experience yogis to people with disabilities and addiction. I currently teach yin yoga and pilates at Frog Lotus but have also taught meditation, hatha, power and restorative yoga in the past. My resume includes places like Canyon Ranch of the Berkshires, Berkshire Dance Theatre and North Adams public schools. I've also have given workshops to inform the public about yoga and massage at Mildred Elley Business School in Pittsfield, MA.
In October of 2006, I gave birth to my daughter Camryn Grace, who has brought great joy into my life. Giving birth to Camryn has given me a new appreciation of my body which has enriched my yoga practice.
Practicing has been with me though thick and thin and will be part of my life forever.
