This is a comprehensive Yoga instructor training, designed in accordance with the 200 hour requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance. It is Yoga Alliance Approved. At the end of the course you will be a Certified Yoga Instructor, eligible to register with Yoga Alliance, simply by sending in a copy of your certificate. You will be qualified to teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga, otherwise known as Power Yoga.
Style
The style we teach is a creative, dynamic, and intelligent flow which can be easily adapted to different levels and different tempos. Over 100 poses will be covered in-depth during the training with special attention to anatomical sequencing and skillful assists. At the end of the training you will be fully qualified to teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga and its variations such as Power Flow or Core Flow.

A minimum of one year's yoga practice and reasonable competence is required to qualify for the Yoga Teacher Training Course. You are also required to be in good health, physically and mentally. Please note that this is a 'Yoga Teacher Training Intensive'. This is not a 'retreat'.
Investment:
• $4000 includes tuition, board and lodging (shared accommodations at the beautiful Shanti Retreat Center)
Payment can be made in three installments: the initial deposit of $200 is paid upon applying. The 2nd deposit of $1400 is due 60 days prior to the start of the training, July 5th. The remaining balance is due in full upon your arrival or by the start of the first class. Payment can be made in full at any time prior to the training. About the Shanti Retreat Center
Now in its eighth season, Shanti has become a popular retreat destination in Ontario. Enjoy the tranquil 11 acre property where the spacious century inn and cabins are situated on 1000 feet of private shoreline. The hosts, Darin and Wendy are long-time practicing yogis who create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere to delve into one's practice.
The shared accommodations have either water or garden views. All rooms have their own washroom facilities. There are several lounge areas where guests can either study or socialize. Around the Inn guests have the opportunity to explore nature by foot, swimming, canoeing, kayaking or just hanging out in a hammock under a willow tree. Canoes and kayak will be free for guests to use on the breaks from the training. We will also have the opportunity to practice in the unique circular 'Yoga Yurt' for our morning asana practice.
Shanti prides itself on supporting local organic sustainability. The kitchen will provide 3 delicious wholesome vegetarian meals daily from local produce. Tea and fruit will also be available throughout the day. The highly trained staff will accommodate dietary restrictions.

Shanti Retreat Center is located 3 hours east of Toronto, on Wolfe Island, one of the largest of the Thousand Islands, near Kingston. A map, as well as detailed directions on how to reach Shanti, can be found on the Shanti website.
There are many things to see and do on and off Wolfe island. On the island, cycle along quiet roads, visit a several kilometre long sandy beach, or try to navigate through a challenging corn maze. Just visit Wolfe Island under things to do for more information.
