Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art that combines the alignment of the breath, yoga asana and mindfulness meditation of Metta (loving compassion) into a flowing dance of continuous rhythmic motion to deliver a soothing and revitalizing experience. TYM is based on an understanding of energy lines and marma points in the body, working with balancing the energetic bodies and freeing & removing any blockages that may present in the physical, mental, emotional bodies. A session of TYM results in restoring a healthy, balanced energetic flow to the recipient. It is a complete therapeutic treatm ent on its own, and may also be incorporated into other modalities of massage or into yoga classes.
This course will cover how to give a full 1.5 - 2 hour massage. Content will include an introduction to energy lines, breath work, meditation, utilizing proper body mechanics, chanting and yoga. The last day of the training will also include a practicum of giving a 75-minute session to the 'public'. A certification of the "Foundations of Thai Yoga Massage" will be awarded upon completion of the workshop and practicum.

Thai Yoga Massage II will offer another full sequence of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, expanding on the 'Foundations of Thai Yoga Massage Certification Level I.' In addition to covering content that will enable you to give up to a 2.5 hour massage, there will be more focus on body mechanics, breath work, side-lying positions, advanced transitions, and working with different body types and 'challenges.'
To apply for this training one must have completed the 'Foundation of TYM Certification Level II' with Jennifer. Trainees can either apply to take the Level I and Level II training back-to-back. Or, after taking some time to practice the Level I skills, the student must have at least 30 hours of documented practicum of the "Foundation of TYM" sequence. If it has been more than one year between taking the Level I & II trainings, it is recommended that students take a 'refresher course' of the Level I training.
**A full 500+hour curriculum for TYM will be posted soon! The 'Foundations of Thai Yoga Massage Level I & II' will be requirements for taking any of the more advanced or specialized course material and practicums. There are several schools of thought for learning the 'Dance of Thai Massage' and because of this, all students will be required to take the 'Foundations Trainings, Level I & II' with Jennifer regardless of their background/experience. The 'Foundations Trainings' are full of wisdom & experience on their own. And, the trainings will be the foundation for those wishing to pursue more depth of this ancient healing art form.
