Don't miss this opportunity to study with advanced practitioner and teacher, Noam Tyroler! One of only a few workshops in the States this year!
What is Thai Acupressure?
Thai Acupressure is an aspect of the traditional physiotherapy of Thailand. It is widely practiced in Thailand but less known among most non-Thais. Unlike general Thai massage for the whole body, Thai medical acupressure treatment routines are based on traditional combinations or formulas of therapy points which may treat specific orthopedic disorders. These treatment routines are simple to learn and use.
Workshop description:
TraditTraditional Thai Massage combines acupressure work of therapy lines and assisted yoga postures. Most courses of study stress the stretching aspects and energy work of this healing art, but rarely deal with specific pressure points in the Thai medicine system that correspond to a vast array of physical disorders. This workshop is unique because it provides an one-of-a-kind learning experience in a small-group setting with Noam Tyroler, author of Thai Acupressure For Orthopedic Disorders.
In this intensive workshop you will learn ways to integrate Thai acupressure into your own personal and professional practice; how to use the book as a reference tool and how to execute Thai point routines for the treatment of lower back and hip disorders. No previous experience in Thai massage or acupressure is required.
You will learn:
• The point formulas for the most common disorders
• How to use the Wat Po collection of treatment protocols in your practice
• The simple diagnosis principals
• The Wat Po pressure techniques
• How to assimilate Points combinations into a Thai Massage session.
Training subjects
1. The basic pressure techniques of Thai acupressure.
2. The locations of 22 therapy lines and 230 acupressure points.
3. The principles of Thai diagnosis for orthopedic conditions.
4. The treatment procedures of 60 Thai Acupressure routines.
Noam Tyroler is the author of "Thai Acupressure for Orthopedic Disorders", a course textbook for the Wat Po School collection of point combinations for the treatment of orthopedic conditions. Noam has been practicing Thai massage since 1989. He studied Thai massage in Thailand at such places as the Old Hospital in Chiang and the Wat Po massage school in Bangkok. He is head of the Department for Thai Massage and Acupressure at the Reidman International College in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
This is a unique opportunity to study with a leading authority on Thai acupressure!
